The Member Partner (hereinafter the "Partner") is the merchant that uses the customer loyalty system of the daponto platform. In addition to these conditions, the User Terms and Conditions also apply.
To award points and create campaigns, the Partner must have an active credit plan, acquired on the platform. Credits are provided in packs and have the validity indicated at the time of acquisition.
Whenever a payment is required, the Partner is directed to a secure payment provider. Until it has active credits, the Partner cannot award points or publish campaigns.
The recipient is understood to be the user who receives the points awarded by the Partner.
The Partner is free to define the amount of points and the awarding criteria. It is common practice to award points proportional to the purchase amount (for example, 1 point for each euro paid), but this is not mandatory.
Each time the Partner awards points, the recipient simultaneously receives the same amount of daponto points. This means the recipient has a wallet of Partner points and a wallet of daponto points, accumulated across all partners.
2.1. Identifying the recipient
Partner's responsibility towards the customer: to make the partnership with daponto and how it works known, and to inform where more information can be obtained.
2.2. Information recorded on awarding
2.3. Awarding QR codes
The Partner may create QR codes for the automatic awarding of points. It may set the amount of points, whether they are intended for one or several users, and the validity period. The content and any associated destinations may not be offensive or contrary to the standards generally regarded as normal and acceptable by society.
Campaigns must always represent a discount and must mandatorily contain a title, a description and, where applicable, the conditions of use. The Partner may set, per campaign, start and end dates and the amount of points the customer needs to obtain the voucher.
Responsibility for the campaign and its content, including images, lies with the Partner. Campaigns may not include incitement to violence, sexual content involving minors, or any other content contrary to the standards generally regarded as normal and acceptable by society.
daponto may review, suspend or block campaigns that breach these conditions. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to the suspension or blocking of the Partner's account, which will then no longer be visible on the platform.
On receiving a voucher, the Partner must validate it in its backoffice, through the voucher identifier or by reading the corresponding QR code.
Only the validation of daponto vouchers gives the customer the possibility of rating the Partner. For more detail, see the User Terms and Conditions.
Each time the Partner awards points or validates a daponto voucher, the recipient is registered as its customer.
The Partner may view a limited set of the customer's data: the name, country, age and loyalty data (points, interaction history and ratings). The email and mobile number only become accessible if the customer has expressly authorised it. The Partner does not have access to the date of birth (only the age) or to other personal data.
Among the available functions, the Partner may rate the customer, view the ratings the customer has given it, add notes and block the customer — which prevents the latter from continuing to receive points or to enjoy vouchers with that Partner.
5.1. Data protection
Customers' data is private and its provision to the Partner is intended exclusively for managing the loyalty relationship. Contact details may only be used with the express authorisation of the respective customer.
The Partner undertakes not to misuse customers' data and to comply with the applicable data protection legislation, including, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — Regulation (EU) 2016/679) in the European Union and the European Economic Area. In any processing it carries out of this data for its own purposes, the Partner acts as data controller and assumes the inherent obligations.
The Partner may add collaborators and define each one's level of access to the platform's features.
The MTerminal application, developed by daponto, is intended for member merchants and provides for access to the device's camera solely to read the QR codes used to identify users and to validate vouchers.
daponto reserves the right to change and update the information on this page without prior notice, so its regular consultation is suggested. Where there are changes, daponto will seek to notify its partners, without guarantee of doing so.
